About Jessica Ignacio
Jessica Ignacio is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in reproductive and perinatal mental health. She believes broader systemic and societal pressures have left many parents navigating matrescence in isolation, and that intentional, compassionate support during this season matters not only for individual well-being but for breaking intergenerational cycles and building healthier families.
Her own matrescence shaped that conviction. As a mother who has navigated a perinatal mental health diagnosis and the work of tending to her own internal parts, she feels a deep commitment to supporting others through this transformative and often overwhelming time. Jess works with clients facing birth trauma, stillbirth and perinatal loss, postpartum depression, anxiety and rage, perinatal OCD and intrusive thoughts, identity loss and matrescence, cycle breaking and reparenting, pregnancy after loss, and the mental load and burnout of early parenthood.
Her approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced with care, drawing on psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) frameworks alongside Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic and mindfulness-based practices, and culturally responsive and feminist therapy. A cisgender, queer, multi-ethnic clinician who is often white-assumed, Jess holds awareness of the privileges she carries and practices through a decolonizing lens, committed to reducing stigma and honoring diverse ways of healing.

The personal
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? Some days I binge watch shows, some days I take a walk to see the ocean, and some days a good long shower will do the trick. Just depends!
What’s a small joy that never fails to make you smile? The beautiful smile of joy my son makes when he sees fills my heart up.
What’s your go-to comfort show, podcast, or book? I enjoy watching WNBA with my partner. If I am not watching basketball, I am watching whatever new psychological thriller is out.
What’s a parenting mantra or quote you love? If we want to improve our mothering, we have to get better at loving ourselves without judgement.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you? I am very shy even though I mask it well.
Coffee order, tea ritual, or favorite snack? Iced coffee/cold brew is my best friend.
If you had a whole afternoon to yourself, how would you spend it? I would nap for an hour, then enjoy some time at a spa or in water somewhere.
