About Dianna Heun
Dianna Heun is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). She has worked in schools, community mental health, and office settings, and her background in child development and attachment shapes how she supports new parents building a bond with their baby. She believes therapy is a place to be met without judgment, not a place to be fixed.
Dianna gave birth and moved through the postpartum period at the height of the pandemic, and that experience shapes how closely she listens now. She works with mothers through postpartum depression and anxiety, postpartum rage and irritability, intrusive thoughts, birth trauma, and panic, alongside the identity shift of matrescence and the mental load and burnout that so often go unnamed.
Her approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment-based work, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for clients ready to process traumatic experiences. She also supports cycle breaking and reparenting, for mothers who want to raise their children differently than they were raised. Dianna offers a space where none of it has to be carried alone.
