About Alicia Knight
Alicia Knight is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in perinatal mental health, with experience across private practice, integrated care, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization settings. She believes healing happens inside a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and collaboration.
As both a therapist and a mother, Alicia knows that becoming a parent can bring immense joy alongside fear, grief, uncertainty, and self-doubt, and she knows how isolating it feels when anxiety, perfectionism, guilt, or intrusive thoughts overshadow the moments you hoped to enjoy. She works with clients navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy after loss, prenatal and postpartum anxiety and depression, perinatal OCD and intrusive thoughts, birth trauma, postpartum rage, mom guilt and perfectionism, burnout and the invisible load, and the identity shifts of matrescence.
Her approach draws on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), family systems, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailored to what each client needs. Whether you are preparing for parenthood, recovering from a difficult birth, or seeking treatment for anxiety or OCD, Alicia would be honored to walk alongside you.

The personal
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? Once the kids are asleep for the night, I love relaxing with my partner whether we're watching a great show, cheering on our favorite sports teams, or simply enjoying some uninterrupted time together. I also enjoy getting lost in a good book whenever I can carve out a few quiet moments before bed.
What’s a small joy that never fails to make you smile? Watching my kids experience the world with fresh eyes. Whether they're trying something for the first time or accomplishing something they've worked hard for, those little moments of wonder and confidence always make me smile.
What’s your go-to comfort show, podcast, or book? My go-to comfort show is The Office. It's one of those shows I can watch over and over and it always makes me laugh. I'm also a big sports fan, so you'll often find me catching a game.
What’s a parenting mantra or quote you love? I love Dr. Becky's reminder that "Repair is more powerful than perfection." It reminds me that parenting isn't about getting everything right—it's about showing up, reconnecting after the hard moments, and modeling grace and resilience for our kids.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you? Before becoming a therapist, I was a preschool teacher. Working with young children sparked my passion for supporting children and families, which led me to study child development, family systems, and psychology before pursuing my career as a therapist.
Coffee order, tea ritual, or favorite snack? My go-to drink is an iced tea—simple, refreshing, and my favorite way to recharge.
If you had a whole afternoon to yourself, how would you spend it? If I had a whole afternoon to myself, I'd go for a swim, enjoy dinner with a friend, and end the day with a good documentary.
