Azra is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective support for mothers and individuals navigating anxiety and life transitions. Her academic foundation was built at the University of Michigan, where she earned her B.A. in Psychology and M.S.W.
Azra's clinical path deepened during a two-year post-graduate fellowship at the University of Michigan Health System's Department of Psychiatry. Here, she specialized in treating anxiety disorders and providing crucial support for perinatal and postpartum mental health. This invaluable experience included intensive training in evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Following her fellowship, Azra became a staff therapist at the Anxiety Disorders Treatment Clinic at the University of Michigan, where she focused on helping individuals manage anxiety. She also had the opportunity to contribute to significant clinical research in this area.
After relocating to California, Azra expanded her practice within diverse healthcare settings and corporate wellness, ultimately establishing her own private practice. She's proud to be a certified graduate of both the Trichotillomania Learning Center’s Professional Training Institute and the International OCD Foundation's Behavior Therapy Training Institute for OCD.
A cornerstone of Azra's practice is her Certification in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International, allowing her to offer specialized and understanding care for the unique emotional journey of parenthood. She looks forward to supporting you on your path to well-being.
