Pregnancy and childbirth are
natural times in our lives to
begin or deepen the practice of
mindfulness. This unique
opportunity is available to both
men and women. Increasing self
awareness is essential to a
healthy pregnancy and positive
childbirth experience as well as
effective parenting. This
holistic course is designed to
address the many changes in
mind, body and spirit that occur
as a result of pregnancy and
offers valuable tools for
adjusting to these challenges in
the most positive ways possible.
Whether working with pregnant
women and new mothers in a group
exercise class or one-on-one,
this comprehensive course will
provide you with everything you
need to offer safe and effective
fitness programs to this special
group of women. Included in this
course are suggestions for
working with women in all
settings using many familiar
exercise formats including low
impact aerobics, water, yoga,
Pilates, weight training, as
well as stroller and mom/baby
exercises. You choose what works
best for the women you serve!
